Coby's Story
Name: Coby
Breed: Pit Bull Terrier
Sex: Neutered Male
Age: 6 years
Weight: 79 lbs
Animal Number: 4462

Sweet. Playful, Goofy, Snuggly

Good with dogs? Coby is good with dogs when out walking on leash, but does not like other dogs when he’s off leash or in his home. He’s a “one dog in the house” buddy. He is afraid of small, yappy dogs.

Good with cats? No, he will chase small animals like cats, squirrels and bunnies. He can be reminded to focus on his leashed walk, and obeys commands.

Good with kids? Coby is good around adults or teens. Because of his size, excitement, and occasional jumping, he should not be with younger children.

Energy level: Medium. Coby loves one or two short walks each day. He absolutely loves napping, and will wander over for a pet or a belly rub between cozy naps.

Medical needs: Coby takes one Apoquel pill nightly for his itchy skin, which he happily takes when it is wrapped in a small piece of cheese. He also had TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) surgery, a common orthopedic surgery for dogs with a torn ligament. He has fully recovered but his gait is slightly affected.

Animal Characteristics: Coby is a handsome sweetie and a very good boy! He is playful, goofy and snuggly! He greets you with a wagging tail and usually a toy in his mouth. He loves to cuddle on the couch or get his belly rubbed. When he gets a new toy, he loves strutting with it through the house to proudly show everyone. He loves naps in warm spots in winter and sunbathes in the summer. Coby loves riding in a car and looking out the window. He does not bark often, but will happily “woo woo” when he is excited by his food, or when his beloved people come home, or when meeting new people. Coby gets happy and excited and may sometimes jump up with friendliness, so he’s good with adults or older teens. He’s very smart, well trained and knows many commands. He is comfortable when he’s alone at home, fully potty trained and crate trained. He has low daily exercise needs and is the perfect companion for a home without other pets or young children. Coby has so much love to share and when he finds his forever home!

Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. My adoption fee is $300. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
