Cobalt - Adorable, affectionate brother of Opal!!'s Story
Oh little Cobalt. Such a gentle, loving little pup! Honestly it's a miracle that he has that sweet disposition after what he's been through so far, and he is only about 3 months old (as of 11/17)!

We don't want to dwell on the condition he was in when found along with his sister Opal (also available!). Suffice it to say that he had suffered blunt force trauma to his head, leaving a deep open wound that had become infected. We've seen other young puppies with that exact same wound. And yes, humans can be that evil..

BUT.. little Cobalt is a survivor who has already moved past whatever horror happened to him! He is a happy, snuggly little boy who loves with all his heart!

It's already clear to us that he is also exceptionally smart! He is so attentive to people, always so observant, has great eye contact and seems to be saying, "what would you like me to do next?". We think he has Shepherd in the mix, and those "intelligence genes" seem to have made their way to him!

Cobalt's head is healing well, and in time there will be no obvious sign of his injury.

Cobalt and sister Opal are being raised in a wonderful foster home with kids, dogs and a cat, and they are great with all!

If you are looking for a lovable, smart little pup to join your family, Cobalt would be an excellent choice!

Please note the following!

1. Until he has completed all puppy vaccine boosters, he can ONLY be adopted into a home with a securely fenced yard. No apts or any kind of shared yards. Once his boosters are complete, if we still have him this requirement will be lifted. His neuter and remaining puppy vaccines will be covered by the Rescue, even if he is adopted before they are done.

2. All of our young puppies can only be adopted into homes where an adult is home the majority of the time! No exceptions. Puppies can not be trained, exercised, or socialized when they are sitting alone all day, and certainly can't be housebroken.

3. Our preference for young pups is that they go to homes that already have a dog. This is not an absolute requirement across the board, but we will process those applications first.

All of that said, if you'd like to be considered as Cobalt's new family, please copy the following link and paste into your browser to submit an application!

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GARP/Dog

Please also follow us on Facebook to keep up with all our Pals, upcoming events, and announcements!

https://www.facebook.com/share/ahFTecYpLt3bLPkf/?mibextid=qi2Omg
