Clyde MDAS #A2248177's Story
Gorgeous big boy, Clyde, is a playful and goofy dog who loves treats and his toys more than anything in the world. Sweet with his people, this funny guy is a rough and tumble bully who loves hard and chews his toys even harder.

Rescued from Miami Dade Animal Services with a mass on his spleen and a foreign object in his belly (piece of a toy!!), this angel was treated & had surgery at MVS and is all better and ready for a family of his own. What we thought was a hospice pup turned out to be a miracle doggy in the making and when his biopsy came back "all clear," we know we did the right thing by giving him a second chance when no one else was willing to help.

Clyde has been in playgroups at MDAS with a neutered male. He wasn't very interested in the pup and was a little stiff with a closed mouth when interacting with another dog. After the initial interaction Clyde lost interest, and ignored the other dog and chewed on his tennis ball. When the other dog approached him while he was happily chewing on the ball, Clyde gave him a little growl warning and happily went back to his toy.

With proper introduction Clyde could have a four legged buddy to live with but he does LOVE his toys so his family would need to understand his slightly resource guarding tendencies. He's a tough chewer so soft toys are a "no no" for him, but the touch chewer toys are OK and can be given just as a special treat mow and again.

Clyde is ready for a family of his own and has some training sessions that will be donated to his new family to make sure he settles in and is the best pup possible.

If you think this is the guy for you and to learn more about Clyde, please let us know and we'll help you meet the potential dog of your dreams.
