Clyde's Story

Bonnie might not be with our Clyde but rather with us and waiting for a future he can be proud of. Clyde is a gentle giant and pure love in canine form. There is lots of him to love because he weighs around 83 pounds. A big boy with an even bigger heart. Clyde is a three-year-old labrador retriever mix. Clyde has a calm and polite approach which puts the friend in friendly. He believes every dog is his friend. He adores children but will need a home with children over the age of 5. It is unknown if his friendly disposition extends to cats because he has not met one since coming into rescue. We do know without a doubt that he is one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet.He is in the process of learning his leash training but has mastered his house and crate training. His family will assist him with everything he needs to learn so he can make an excellent canine companion. Although Clyde is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Big dogs are known to have big hearts and Clyde is no exception. He is full of love that spills over. He is a calm and warm presence that his family will appreciate for years to come. While not on the run of the law, feel free to take Clyde on the highway of love. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Clyde is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours.
