Clyde's Story

***Clyde***
@6-10 year old male chocolate Labrador Retriever

Hello, luv! My name is Clyde and I am a recently retired English Labrador Retriever, somewhere between 6 and 10 years old. I made the transition from puppy-mill to home-living without missing a beat. I will tolerate a crate, but I’ve had enough of cages. I prefer to laze around the house on a comfy dog bed counting the minutes until you return.

I did not grow up in a house, so I’m not certain how to tell you when I need to use the loo. My foster mom takes me out fairly regularly and I’m very good at holding it until we get outside. I’ve been a very good boy at my foster mom’s—no inside accidents!

I adore people (all ages, all genders) and I want to be wherever you are! I like cats, too—even if they don’t like me—and other dogs do not phase me a bit.

I enjoy short walks around the neighborhood— meeting new people and having them tell me how handsome I am makes my day! I do wobble a bit when I walk and will bump into you occasionally, so you will need to be the steady one in this relationship.

Here’s my biggest concern: my hips and elbows are arthritic and I walk with a hitch. Going up and down more than a few steps is really not my cup of tea and I will need to be picked up to get in and out of the car. I’m good if we keep things on one level or with minimal steps.

My foster mom says I am a sweet, beautiful, very good boy and she wants me to find a forever home where I will be treated like the prince-of-a-dog that I am!

Please reach out to LELRR if you are interested in arranging a meetup.

If you'd like to meet me, and if you are an approved LELRR adopter, refer to the instructions on your approval email.

Otherwise, please fill out an application at:
https://www.lelrr.org/adopt.html

and maybe soon we can start your lives together!!

Be prepared to provide proof of up to date vaccinations and year round heartworm preventative for any current or recent pets that you have owned.

Adoption radius 150 driving miles from Medina OHIO
