Clover's Story

Originally surrendered in Manitoba after having puppies, she’s now getting a second chance to enjoy puppyhood herself — and she’s making the very most of it!

All the Reasons to Love Her:
Clover is *smart*, eager to learn, and thrives with structure. She’s already mastered her house manners — no accidents, no crate needed, and she can be trusted alone for long stretches without getting into trouble. She’s affectionate, playful, and has a goofy sense of humor that keeps her foster family smiling.

Fetch? It’s her absolute favourite. She’ll happily play with people and with laid-back, playful dogs her size or larger. She also lives peacefully with dog-savvy cats. And the best news? Her barking has significantly decreased as her training continues.

Clover’s foster family believes she has real talent for task-based activities like *agility*. She loves using her brain and body, and with her smarts, she’d truly shine.

What She’s Working On:
Like many young dogs, Clover is still learning her leash manners. She can be reactive with certain dogs, but with her foster’s guidance (sit, focus, and stay close), she’s improving every day. She doesn’t click with every dog she meets, so a confident resident dog — or being the only dog — will set her up for success.

When bored, Clover can seek attention with a bit of vocal enthusiasm, but with proper direction, she listens beautifully and settles quickly. She genuinely *wants* to do the right thing.

Clover’s Ideal Home:
Clover would thrive with an active family who loves walks, adventures, and playtime as much as she does. Due to her high energy and tendency to become overexcited, she is best suited for homes with children **10+ only**. She’s great with people, enjoys certain dog friends after proper introductions, and any cats in the home should be dog-savvy with slow introductions.

At the end of the day, this energetic girl knows how to relax. She’s crate-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and uses her crate for quiet downtime.

If you're looking for a spirited, loving companion who will keep you laughing and keep you moving, Clover is ready to bring luck and joy into your life.

She’s waiting to meet her perfect match — could it be you?

Health & Care:
Clover has been seen by our veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and receives TAGS’ harm-free flea and tick prevention strategies. She will receive any remaining age-appropriate vaccines and will be spayed prior to final adoption. For a full list of what TAGS provides, please visit our website: www.animalguardian.org
