Clover Labrador Retriever Trumansburg, NY

Clover is a wonderful, gentle and kind young purebred black Labrador approx 20 months old who was surrendered to our rescue from her breeder/owner. She is used to other dogs of all ages and children of all ages. Cats are an unknown and chickens are a no-no (Clover lost her home due to her chicken attack). Although Clover has never lived inside a house, she would be an easy housebreak - prior to arriving here she had never been crated and cheerfully walked into a crate and immediately settled and has no accidents in her crate or in the carpeted room where her crate is located. Clover is learning how to walk on a leash and is doing very well. Her favorite spot where she will calmly lay for long periods of time is right next to the person holding her leash. She loves to carry all sorts of items in her mouth but isn't at all destructive with anything she picks up.

Clover's wonderful personality would make her an ideal candidate for therapy work and she also possesses the characteristics required of a competition obedience dog.

We require that our dogs are adopted into a home where someone is home much of the time. Clover has not experienced being left for any long periods of time and we feel that she could accept being alone but would not thrive in such a situation.

Our strong preference regarding exterior confinement is a fenced in yard, but if we feel the dog would be safely managed by lots of long walks we are willing to consider such an application. No invisible fence or tie outs.

Clover's adoption fee is $450 which includes her spay (done), current vaccinations, heartworm testing (neg) and microchip. For an online application, please send an email to reverence@ottcmail.com.
