Clove's Story

Name: Clove

Gender: Female

Age: 2 years old

Current Weight: 30 lbs

Breed: Terrier Mix

Energy Level: Medium

Dog Friendly: Yes. Clove would LOVE to have a dog sibling!

Cat Friendly: Clove has not lived with cats while with us, but she has met a few. She would likely do well with slow intros to young cats who like to play, but it may depend on the cat's personality.

Kid Friendly: Clove hasn't been around kids, but we think she would do well with older kids due to her energy level.

Physical Fence Requirement: Physical fence preferred. Clove loves to get some zoomies out in the yard!

Crate Trained: Clove knows her crate is a safe space. For the most part, she will sleep soundly in her crate overnight. She has made a lot of progress being crated when her foster family has to leave.

Potty Trained: Almost fully potty trained, occasional accident.

Ideal Home/Adopter: Clove would love a family who can provide her with the perfect mix of playtime and snuggles. Clove would really love to have a dog sibling. She really loves playing with other dogs! A family who will give her lots of attention and love.

Likes: Cuddles and food are her two favorite things! Clove absolutley loves snuggling up with her foster parents and their dogs. Clove is very food motivated which has helped a lot with training.

Clove is working on some manners (mainly counter surfing), but she has come a long way. Clove takes a couple minutes to warm up to new people, but she loves everyone....both people and dogs!

What makes this dog special: Clove came to RescuedOhio with her three puppies. At first Clove was timid and needed some time to settle into her foster home, but now she is loving life in foster care! She snuggles up with her foster parents, plays with the other dogs, zooms around the yard... what more could a girl want? Clove has been an absolute delight and source of fun and happiness in her foster home, but now it's time for her to find her forever home!

Clove's adoption fee is $350. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting, apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet & greet can be set up once approved.

RescuedOhio's Adoption Policy
We have a single application whether you want to adopt a dog, foster a dog in need, or volunteer with our organization. Please note: Our application takes up to 30 minutes to complete. Our application is very detailed because we want to understand the specific needs of your home and match you with the best dog or volunteer opportunity possible. We require all adopters to complete this application in its entirety before discussing the potential adoption of a dog. RESCUEDohio application process: - Return a fully completed application to us. Incomplete applications will not be considered (you should receive an email confirming your submission). - We review your application, contact vet and personal references, and contact your landlord if applicable. - Next, we schedule a home visit with you. A home visit may be done in-person or virtually by one of our volunteers. All members of your home must be present for the home visit. - Next, we approve or deny your application and notify you. Check your spam folder as our communications are sometimes categorized incorrectly. - If your application is approved, we will forward your application to the foster family who is fostering a dog that fits your application criteria. They will contact you to set up a meet-and-greet so you can meet the dog. - If the meet-and-greet is successful, we will notify you and arrange to finalize the adoption. You will sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee in order to finalize the adoption. You enjoy a lifetime of love and devotion from your new four-legged friend!
