Cleo's Story

Cleo is a striking 3.5-year-old Husky with ice-blue eyes, a snowy coat, and a quiet strength that’s both wild and wonderful. Found roaming the woods of Mammoth, she carries a sense of independence and self-assurance that makes her feel like a true mountain dog — but don’t be fooled. Underneath that cool exterior is a snuggly pillow thief who loves belly rubs and affection… on her terms.
Cleo currently hikes off-leash with a dog pack every morning, exploring high alpine trails and living her best feral-adjacent life. She’s not overly obedient or people-pleasing — yet — but she’s responsive, respectful, and naturally well-mannered in the home. No destruction, no howling, no drama. Just a dog who knows how to be a dog.
Cleo is:
Potty trained
Crate-free and home-respectful
Not barky (just playful with her voice)
Cat-safe
Dog-social but dominant
Not prone to separation anxiety
Great in cars
While she enjoys playing with other dogs, Cleo is best as a solo dog in the home. She prefers a calm environment where she can bond slowly and on her own terms. She’s not the type to chase your attention — she’ll sneak in for snuggles when you're not looking, then retreat to her own bed like the self-sufficient queen she is.
Cleo would thrive with:
A calm, confident, outdoorsy person
Someone patient who lets her come to them
A no-drama household — no chaos, no clinginess
A physically active person who understands Huskies and structure
She has basic training (sit, car loading) and is currently learning boundaries and trust. She doesn’t yet have a strong recall, but she’s more responsive in the hands of a confident human leader. A GPS collar is recommended for off-leash time.
Cleo is fully vetted — spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped — and she’s ready to find her person. If you’re looking for a soulful trail companion who’s beautiful, low-maintenance in the home, and deeply rewarding to connect with, Cleo’s your girl.
