CLEO Pit Bull Terrier Tucson, AZ

Cleo is a portly princess who first came to PACC all the way back in 2022. Luckily, she was adopted and found a home, but she turned up as a stray in 2024 and her person did not come forward. This happy hippo instantly wins the hearts of everyone she meets and really deserves to find her happily ever after! Cleo is a field trip rockstar who has been all over town- to Home Depot, PetSmart, Bookmans, to enjoy a few pup cups, and even to go for a swim (ok, ok more of a wade). Cleo is a very good girl- great in the car, loves to look out windows and did great in stores and loved to meet other people. What a fun and adorable gentle giant! In the store she loved sniffing all the shelves and exploring. Cleo has been described as sweet, easygoing, lovable, and gentle. What more could you ask for!? Cleo found herself at risk due to critical shelter overcrowding and was lucky to spend about a month in a foster home.Heres what learned: - She is a quiet houseguest who loves to snooze on any soft surface (but especially the loveseat) - She is a couch potato who snoozes her days away - She is completely housebroken - She enjoys chewing on hard toys (when she isnt napping) - She was working on her polite leash manners using a gentle lead - She likes to play in the water- a splash pad, a doggy pool, or a hose - She is a great companion In a second foster home of two months she did great too- even during two weeks of construction chaos! She was super friendly with all of the workers at the house and mostly slept through all the noise. She loved sleeping on the couch and was perfectly behaved when left home alone, casually wandering over to greet her foster person when they came home. In yet another foster home, Cleo was housebroken, mellow, and enjoyed napping and gazing out the glass door at the world. She was described as a cuddle bug who loves to give kisses. After so many stays in foster homes, Cleo would love to find a forever home of her own. She is not cut out for shelter life and deserves to leave PACC behind for good- finally! Cleo is looking for a home with no small animals and may prefer to be the only dog in the home. Dont worry though- theres a lot of her to love and she has a huge heart to share with you!!
