Cleo's Story
Cleo is a spayed terrier/schnauzer mix. These breeds hardly shed and for the most part are hypoallergenic. She is a happy loveable girl who enjoys roaming and zooming around the yard where she is currently being housed. Cleo knows a few commands and is learning more each day, Sit, down, all the way down (not lay down) and tell her to stay while you hide her treats, then to release her say 'OK.' She would love to learn more from a devoted owner. She has not gotten the hang of giving you her one paw yet. It would be both! So responsive to training and so eager to please. She is treat motivated. She would love to have a human brother or sister, or two, to love. She just LOVES kids! She is very strong and fast so would definitely need a nice sized fenced in yard. She loves to chase a ball, even in the rain! She will bring it back to you and drop at your feet to throw again and again and again! (You would have to tell her to rest.) She actually watches your eyes to see in what direction you will throw it! Even straight up in the air, so smart! She will stare at you when she needs to go out. She turns in circles at the door until you open the door. She has now been introduced to a laser. See video . Cleo would need a home without other dogs. She seems to be fine with cats, although a slow introduction would be best since she gets so excited. She is housebroken and goes into her crate at night with no problem. In the house she will want to be in whatever room you are to sit nearby (or in your lap) and be your companion. Her favorite things are to play ball and tug of war, then to curl up with you. At full size, Cleo is about 30lbs. She is crate and house trained. She is also microchipped and is up to date on all her shots.
