Clementine is currently living and training with her handlers at Fluvanna Women's Correctional Center.<br/><br/>Through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections, Pixie's Pen Pals (a program of FETCH a Cure) places homeless dogs in the care of incarcerated people for dedicated, individualized training and socialization guided by canine behavior specialists.<br/><br/>The bio below was provided by her handlers at Fluvanna Women's Correctional Center:<br/><br/>My name is Clementine and I'm a two year old beagle mix. I am the perfect girl for someone who wants a low energy dog with a sweet and spunky personality. When my spunky side shows, there is no way you won't fall in love. I am completely appropriate with any toy I have ever had. My mouth is very gentle so my favorite toy is my little stuffed unicorn because its easy for me to squeak. I get along well with all the other dogs in the program that range from 20lbs to 107lbs. My handlers say because of this, I would be a perfect candidate for a dog park. They also believe I would be great with children and cats. I am smart and know all of my obedience cues including: sit, down, wait, stay, go-in, leave it, touch, place, recall, paw, off and give. I love to do stuff on my own time. I love a nice, long afternoon nap, especially if you tuck me in with a soft blanky. I love to snuggle once I get to know you. I am a great walker on leash so you could take me anywhere. If I would need to stay home, I really do love my crate. I would be a perfect addition to just about any home.
