Clay - IN FOSTER's Story

Please remember to bring a leash and collar when you come to get your new best friend we are running short!. Thanks and hope to see you soon! *

Sex: Male
Approximate Age: 5 - 6 Months
Size: Medium
Activity Level: Moderate
Breed: Lab X Husky mix

Clay is now in foster where he is living with other dogs and cats and gets along with both. Clay likes to play and would be suited to an active playmate who likes to run and play chase. Clay walks excellent on his leash and heels and does not pull at all. He likes to sniff and explore and greet people on the street. Clay likes toys and balls and will chase them and throw them in the air but is learning the rules to fetch. Clay is a very affectionate boy who simply wants to be petted and loved. Clay does not jump up on people to greet them but does not know basic commands so he and his foster mom are working on them. Please call 311 to set up a meeting with Clay.

Hi there let me introduce myself, my name is Clay, I am not too sure how I ended up here. I was sniffing and following my nose and the next thing I know I was behind bars. I waited for my family to come but no one came so I am now looking for a new one. I am playful and fun but I can be a little afraid of new people and I will need someone to help me work on socialization with people and other dogs. I am a little unsure of this place and would really like to go back home so please come and see me soon.

My adoption fee is $184.80 and will include my:

* Mandatory Spay or Neutering

* Tattoo * Microchip

* 1st License

* Basic check up from our vet

* First shots - except rabies

* Small bag of dog food

* 6 weeks of Pet Insurance

* Pet ownership information

Save time, print and fill out our:

Adoption Questionnaire

and

Adoption Contract

Bring them with you come to meet your new best friend to make the process go faster!

Click on the link and Join today!

Become a fan of WAS on Facebook learn about WAS events, see newly added pictures, get news on what's happening at WAS, get information from other fans and much much more!! For that reason we are not sure if they like other dogs, cats or how they are with children. We do temperament testing with all the dogs and do our best to give you our best observations and opinions on the dogs and puppies.We would suggest that if you have younger children you bring them down with you to meet the dog. We also have an outdoor play area where we can do introductions with any other dogs that live in the home.

We offer a 7day home trial with our dogs to families with young children or other pets. If you return the dog within this time period, you will be refunded your adoption fee less $40.00 *****You must state that you would like to take the dog on a home trail at the time of adoption. ****

Please feel free to meet all the dogs and puppies out side of their kennels, ask the kennel attendants (or front desk) to take the dogs out, sometimes they bark and jump in their kennels but are completely different once they are out of their kennels. They would love to meet you!

FOSTERING

Want to Foster this great dog and give them a place to stay until they can find their forever home?

Foster Families are very important to WAS for many reasons: * Sometimes we are 100% full and need help to open up space for the new dogs coming in. *Some dogs are just not ready to be adopted. They may have some medical issues, behavioral problems or they may just need a break from Animal Services *Foster families can spread the word and help get their pooch adopted sooner ! You can tell coworkers, friends and acquaintances, you can take them with you to sporting events, meet people on walks and more more place that they will get noticed. *Foster families provide us with valuable information that we can pass on to the new adopters. We get terrific feedback ,which helps to find the right family for these guys and gals. Come down to 1057 logan ave or call 311 to find out how.

Click here to get our foster forms, fill them out and bring them in with you to make the process go faster!

DONATING

If you cannot adopt please consider making a donation, they are tax deductible.

Click here to make an online donation

Mail them to Animal Services 1057 Logan ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 3N8.
