Claus's Story

Meet Claus

Claus and his siblings were abandoned and taken to a shelter in Fresno at just 6 weeks old. Once we spotted them, we knew we needed to bring them into rescue He has an estimated birthday of 10/11/2025. He is a sweet boy with a beautiful golden coat. This mixed breed boy will likely be medium sized and top out around 30-50 pounds. He loves toys and is treat motivated and looks forward to every meal. He would do well with another dog that likes to play or as an only dog that goes to doggy day care. Claus loves people and pets alike.

Here is what her foster has to say:

Claus loves people and is typically the first one out of his pen for playtime. He has fun with his littermates and the other dogs in his foster home. He likes to be outside to play - he is curious so secure fencing is a must. He has been exposed to cats in his foster home and is curious so a slow introduction would be best. He does great in the car (she rides in a wire crate for safety), and will ride around with you in a sling so he can stay close.

Claus has a smooth coat so a brush every now and then will keep him in top shape. He is not a fan of baths, but good with getting his nails clipped.

Claus sleeps quietly in his pen at night, has started to potty train to a pad and is doing great! He’s not 100% there yet but with a little time and dedication he will be running to the door in no time.

Claus is ready to help you wrap presents and then unwrap them. Can he curl up under your Christmas tree?

Adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSD/Dog

Bruno's Foundation's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based facility, meaning all of our animals are in homes, not a shelter environment. This allows us to get to know them better, and provide on one training for each animal. In order to limit the amount of people going in and out of our foster homes, we do require a filled out application prior to a meet and greet. We are a 501c3 non profit. All adoption donations are tax deductible! Please click the link on this page to fill out an application for adoption. Allow 48 hours for a reply, we only have one person who reviews applications so please be patient. A phone call will be scheduled should your application fit the needs of the pet you’re applying for. During this time, we will set up a meet and greet, then a home check (virtual or in person). We DO allow out of state adoptions however you will be required to travel to pick up, and this will depend on how the pet you’re applying for does with travel. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.
