Clara's Story

Meet Clara – World Champion of the Head Tilt! ??

Hi there, I’m Clara, a 7-month-old terrier mix with a heart full of love and a head that just can’t stop tilting when I hear something interesting. If you’ve ever wanted a pup who listens intently and looks adorable doing it—I’m your girl.

I’m a friendly, affectionate adventurer who’s always up for some snuggles after a good exploration session. I love being around people, but I’m also okay hanging out on my own when needed. That said, nothing beats a cozy cuddle!

I’ve got a bit of spunk and sass, which makes life with me fun and full of personality. If you’re looking for a pup with a little zip in her step and some quirky charm, we might just be a perfect match.

When I came to PAWS, I was underweight, but thanks to lots of care (and food!), I’m now a much healthier, happier girl. I love playing with my sister Violet and my buddy Pork Chop. I get along well with other dogs, though I prefer to eat in a crate or separate space—except when it comes to Violet, who I somehow let steal all my food.

I haven’t met any kids yet, but I think I’d like them! Sometimes I “cob” on people (a gentle nibble like I’m eating corn on the cob)—it’s just my silly way of showing affection.

I’ve done well being crated for a few hours, and I’m making great progress with housetraining. Like any young pup, I’ll need someone who can stick to a routine and help me keep up the good work.

I walk nicely on leash and enjoy car rides. I’ve even met a three-legged cat (I was more interested in snacks than chasing it!). I did bark but then back away when it came toward me, so if you have a cat, I’m open to further testing.

If you’re looking for a sweet, spunky, head-tilting cuddle bug to join your family, I hope you’ll come meet me!

Love,
Clara
