Cisco's Story
Cisco is a special boy in need of a special home. I am going to try and be as thorough as possible, please reach out with any questions at all!

Cisco has been with our rescue in what was supposed to be a temporary situation. It has been the better part of a year and a half by now (October 2025).

Whenever Cisco came to us, all 2 feet off the ground of him, those little legs stole our hearts. He was sweet, excitable, affectionate and the most well-behaved and kennel trained good boy you ever did meet.

We are not set up to take on a great number of dogs and do not have the training for dogs who have or develop behavioral problems. Over the months (now soon to be years) of not getting to go home and living either in a fenced yard or fenced kennel for a majority of the time really wore on him.

For the most part he ignores the cats, but he has been known to chase and he will participate in pack mentality. He may not actually attack and bite but he will join in the chaos, whatever it may be.

One behavior that has not changed is his kennel discipline. He will only use the restroom inside if he has absolutely no choice-- he will wait until he is about to burst. He is thoroughly trained to be indoors, whether it's in a kennel or not. He knows that outside means time to go potty!

Cisco has a lot of energy and boy does he have a lot of love to give. He has been stuck here with us for so long I think he might have given up a little bit.

Cisco deserves a good home. I don't recommend having him around young children or even smaller animals. He will probably do okay around other fixed dogs-- maybe one or two.

I would love to have you out to meet Cisco and just see if you can find it in your heart to give him a chance.

I know he can be that missing piece in someone's life, he just needs a chance!
