Cinnamon's Story

Meet Cinnamon! Cinnamon currently holds the trophy for Longest Resident at Paws Place Dog Rescue. As much as we love her, that is a title we do not wish on anyone. Cinnamon came to us in 2022, we do not know her history prior to joining us here at Paws Place, but we know this sweet girl faced many challenges to be just 5 years old. We believe that she did not socialize with humans much, if at all. You can see she has some interesting scars that we unfortunately may never know the story behind, and she is very anxious. These are not flaws in our eyes, in the last year we have watched Cinnamon grow in many ways! She now gets excited about the play pen, working with our volunteer Emily and she loves sitting in the office with our staff. Cinnamon is still very shy around new faces, but with patience, love and guidance we believe our girl would thrive in a home. Cinnamon is looking for a quite adult only home, no other pets, and a fenced in yard due to her confidence levels, because well walks are scary. She needs a loving understanding family who is ready to take on the challenge of building her confidence and showing her that life does not have to be scary.
Cinnamon is located at our rescue facility - 242 George II HWY, Winnabow NC 28479
We are open Tues-Sat 10am-2pm.
No appointment necessary.
Check out our adoption process on our website!

https://pawsplace.org/dogs/

Our adoption process can take anywhere from 5-10 days. We require that you meet the dog in person before submitting an application. If you have had a previous dog in the past 5 years we do a veterinary reference check to see consistency of care. If you have a current dog we arrange a dog introduction. After the above steps are completed we set up a home visit to see where the dog will be living. The final step is the completion of the adoption agreement
