Cinnamon's Story
Meet Cinnamon - The Brave Little Fighter

Cinnamon is a 3-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix with long, delicate legs and absolutely stunning coloring. She came from the same hoarding situation as Winston and Lucy - and her story is nothing short of remarkable. During the fire that destroyed the trailer she lived in, Cinnamon nearly didn't make it. She survived smoke inhalation against the odds. She is here because she fought to stay.

And you can see that spark in her.
Even when she's unsure.
Even when she's afraid.
She wants to be brave.

Unlike some of her friends, Cinnamon is a little more open to new things. You can feel her trying - leaning forward instead of back, watching you with hopeful caution, wanting to take that step but needing you to show her the world can be safe now. With strangers, she can be hesitant - but never shut down. There is light in her. There is want.

Cinnamon's ideal home:
Calm and gentle environment
Another confident, friendly dog to model safety
No young children - soft voices and slow movement will help her trust
Securely fenced yard (she is not fully comfortable on a leash yet)
Patience, consistency, and kindness

Cinnamon is ready for the small brave moments:
The first time she chooses to sit beside you instead of across the room.
The first time she takes a treat from your hand and doesn't step back.
The first time she lets out a soft sigh and falls asleep knowing she's safe.

Those will be the victories you earn together.
The quiet kind - the unforgettable kind.

She is a survivor.
A gentle soul.
A fighter wrapped in softness.

If your heart lifts for the ones who try - who are healing, who are learning, who are still reaching for love -
Cinnamon is waiting for you.
Please apply here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DBSR/Dog

Her minimum adoption donation amount is $345 She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heart worm checked, and on flea/tick and heart worm preventatives.

We are located in Bloomington, IL
We do not ship, you would need to travel to pick up your babies if you live out of state.
Your current pets must be up-to-date on core vaccines, spayed/neutered, and on heart worm prevention year round.
