Cinnabon Maltese La Jolla, CA

Cinnabon (Cindy) is a very sweet, female Maltese, about 6 yrs of age. She weighs 7 ½ lbs and has a fluffy, beige and cream, non shedding coat of hair. Cindy and her bonded partner Honeybon were initially rescued by Hope for Paws as neighbors requested help for the dogs as they had been living on the streets of LA for nearly a year. The neighbors were feeding them but could not catch them. Upon arrival, Cindy was frightened, but she adapted and formed a bond with her foster family. This little girl gets so excited when her foster mom greets her and enjoys receiving human affection. She comes when called and likes to be close to his foster family. Cindy has had eye problems due to her life on the street as well some early cataracts. She is getting eye medication to keep her eyes moist. Cindy is devoted to her partner, Honeybon and wants to be near him all of the time. They sleep in a crate together and love to cuddle in a dog bed. Cindy is smart dog and is “treat” motivated which helps with training. She is doing quite well with house training, using a pad in the house and going outside. Cindy will continue to improve his socialization in a home with a calm atmosphere and a patient person.
