Cindy's Story

If happiness had four legs and a tiny little nub tail, it would be Cindy. She is a 2 year old mixed breed dog. Our guess would be as good as yours about what she is mixed with.

This sweet, goofy girl has one of the cutest greetings you will ever experience. The moment you walk through the door, her little nubby tail starts spinning so fast it practically goes in a full circle! You will never wonder if someone is excited to see you. Cindy makes sure you feel like the most important person in the world!

She is equal parts playful and adorable. One day her foster found that Cindy had carefully gathered every single toy she could find and tucked them neatly into her dog bed... then she climbed into her crate for a well earned nap. Mission accomplished!

Cindy is house trained, crate trained, knows sit and a few other commands, and she is eager to learn even more. She has also discovered the joy of enrichment toys, and watching her happily work on a puzzle is enough to make anyone smile.

When it is playtime, Cindy is all about the zoomies! She loves to run, stretch her legs, and burn off her energy, so a securely fenced yard is a must. Once she has had her fun, she is more than happy to settle in for cuddles and relaxation.

After spending 136 days in a shelter, Cindy is more than ready to start making memories. She is dreaming of a family that loves hiking, exploring, weekend adventures, or simply giving her the active, happy life she has waited so long for.

Cindy gets along well with other dogs but would do best in a home without cats. She also thinks vacuum cleaners are suspicious creatures and would prefer they keep their distance.

If you are looking for a loyal sidekick with endless enthusiasm, a goofy personality, and enough love to brighten every single day, Cindy is ready to pack her toys and come home with you.

Cindy is spayed, current on vaccines and prevention and is microchipped. Her adoption fee is $300. To meet Cindy, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
