Cinder's Story

Name / Breed / Age: Cinder, German Shepard mix, Adult
Personality Traits: The Wallflower
Likes / Dislikes: Cinder loves to play in the yard with her foster siblings. Cinder dislikes chaos/crowds
Health and behavior history: Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be spayed. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!

Meet Cinder!

Cinder is a lovable, playful Shepherd mix who's happiest when she's spending time with her adult family members. She's full of joy, always ready for a game, and she starts every day with her signature boo-woo! the moment you come downstairs.

She adores fruit and crunchy carrots, loves going for walks, and is always excited for a car ride. She's both crate trained and potty trained, making her a wonderful, well-mannered companion.

Cinder has made incredible progress in her training. When she first arrived, she was nervous around leashes, hesitant with her food bowl, and unsure about getting into the car. Now, she's confident and loves mealtime, going on walks, and hopping into the car for rides.

Cinder tends to form her strongest bonds with women, but she warms up to men beautifully once she's had a little time to feel comfortable. She isn't a fan of little children, but she can absolutely mind her manners when young visitors stop by. With her e-collar on (no zapping ever needed) she responds well to the vibrate setting, and often just wearing it keeps her calm and on her best behavior in her crate.

Cinder loves other dogs of all sizes and is cat friendly. She would really thrive in a home with another dog to play and share her days with, but she also makes a fantastic only dog, happy to be the center of attention.

Affectionate, fun, gentle, and eager to be part of the family, Cinder will bring laughter, love, and the sweetest morning greetings to any adult household lucky enough to have her.

Our Mission
PIPs key focus is dogs with special or medical needs (who we call Pip-abled), however, we have many non-PIP-abled dogs too! We made it easy to decipher PIP-abled verses non-PIP-able; simply look at each dogs picture and bio. The Pioneers had a vision to take in the most urgent rescues no one else could which includes p...
