Cincy's Story

Cincy is a tan/black brindle with a black face female pup. She has a smooth coat. She is of unknown mix, but perhaps a Plott hound, definitely has hound in her. The vets estimate that she was born 12/10/25 +/- 3 days at most.

Cincy and her 6 liter mates were left at a dump in Kentucky. HART rescued them on 1/22/26 at 6 weeks old. Cincy weighed 3 pounds and 12 oz. at 6 weeks old and 19 pounds at 13 weeks old, so we estimate she is going to be a medium sized dog fully grown in the 40-50 pound range.

Cincy is a confident, easy going fun loving pup. She likes children, adults, and other dogs. Although she is a bit cautious when first meeting a new dog (especially a loud dog), she is soon wanting to play with them. She enjoys playing, chasing, and wrestling with her siblings. She has been around 5 adult dogs (40-55 lbs.) during play dates. She is spooked by loud noises.

Cincy has been around 5 younger children (4-11 years old) and takes rough handling well. She is a sweet gentle pup. She has just started walking on a lead so he will needs additional training.

Cincy is crate trained and has started working on house training. She rides well in the car, but does get motion sickness that pups generally grow out at about 10 months old.

Cincy’ activity level is about average, will play in the yard with other dogs if around, but laid back if by herself in the house. Cincy would do well with another dog that likes to play and with active kids. She sleeps through the night in her crate (9:30 to 7:00). She is very quit in the crate. She enjoys chew toys, tug-of-war, and chewing on sticks. She is highly food motivated, so training should be easy. Cincy would do best with a fenced yard, as she loves to wonder around sniffing and playing with anything she can find. If you think Cincy could be a good fit, please submit an application and the foster will bring him to your house for a visit.

All HART dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella and rabies. They are heartworm tested and on preventative for heartworm, fleas, and ticks. If you are interested in any of our pets, you must complete an online dog adoption application at www.rescueAhart.org . The application will put you in touch with this wonderful dog's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!
