Cider's Story

Cider is a sweet, young, medium-sized girl (around 40 lbs) with a loving heart and a playful spark. While she plays beautifully with other dogs and makes a fantastic canine playmate, what she really wants is her person.

Cider loves people. She lights up when she gets one on one attention and would happily choose a game of fetch with you over just about anything else. Toss the ball and she's all in! Focused, enthusiastic, and ready to bring it right back for more. When playtime is over, she's just as happy to curl up close and soak in the snuggles.

She does well on leash, has great recall (hello, hiking and camping buddy!!), and is very smart! Motivated by both food and toys, she thrives on connection and loves having a job to do.

Cider enjoys dog friends, but her heart belongs to her human. She's the kind of dog who bonds deeply, looks to you for direction, and wants to be your teammate in everything. If you're searching for a loyal, affectionate, adventure-ready companion who will choose you every time, Cider is waiting!Big Paws of the Ozarks is a foster-based dog rescue in Northwest Arkansas. We require an approved adoption application on file before scheduling meets with our dogs. You can find the application here (www.bigpawsozarks.org/adoption-application). Big Paws of the Ozarks's Adoption Policy
All adopters must fill out an application on our website with all necessary information. From there, our staff will conduct a phone interview and answer any questions regarding the dog or the adoption process. Once approved, a meet and greet is scheduled with the family, dog, and dog's foster family. This is the time where other pets can be introduced. If the meet and greet goes well, we can send the dog in a trial adoption for a few days to make sure it is a perfect fit for everyone. From there the adoption is finalized through payment of the adoption fee and transferring of vet records.
