Meet CiCi in Need of a Foster (or Foster-to-Adopt!)<br/><br/>Meet CiCi — a beautiful, incredibly sweet, and oh-so-lovable 1-year-old lab mix weighing 37 pounds. This brave girl has already been through more than most pups ever should. CiCi was hit by a car and required FHO surgery just three weeks ago. An FHO, or femoral head ostectomy, is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a damaged hip by removing the head and neck of the femur (the long leg bone or thighbone).<br/><br/>Thanks to a rescue who stepped in, CiCi received the surgery she needed and avoided amputation. We brought her into our rescue so she wouldn’t have to return to a shelter while she heals.<br/><br/>Despite everything, CiCi is thriving. She’s getting around really well, building strength, and showing everyone just how determined she is. She may need a little physical therapy to help her finish healing, and she’ll be visiting our wonderful orthopedic specialist, Dr. Oakley at MASH, to keep her recovery on track.<br/><br/>And… we have to mention her cutest trait: CiCi talks!<br/>She has the sweetest little chatter and loves to “tell you” how she’s feeling.
