Churro's Story
Churro is still looking for a home!

To be honest, we’re really shocked he’s still here. Churro is the best dog (we may be biased) and we would gladly keep him if we didn’t have our own dogs. He’s a favorite of everyone at BAB and one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet.
Churro is a one year old Shar-Pei who has a congenital eye condition that leaves him sight impaired. He can see, just not very well. He still gets around well and runs and plays. He is a typical puppy!

Churro loves people. He tends to bond strongly to one person, and he becomes their shadow. He of course enjoys the company of anyone, but he goes above and beyond for “his person”. We have videos of him searching the house for his foster mom and checking all her usual spots, it’s very heartwarming. He also loves children.

He is good with friendly dogs. However, we are asking for a home where he can be the only dog. We have found that long-term, dogs get annoyed with his odd mannerisms that come with his sight issues. He tends to hover in dogs faces and run into them. The dog in his last home ended up attacking him, he’s unable to defend himself, and we’d like to avoid this occurring again. He would do wonderfully with visiting friend dogs and play dates. He is a NO for cats.

Churro enjoys walks and being at home. He doesn’t like car rides, again, thanks to his sight impairment. We have taken him to a few hikes that require car rides and once he gets out he’s fine. He’s really a dog that doesn’t want to go everywhere, he’d rather be at home. He’s perfect loose in the house, non destructive, doesn’t have accidents and he even is trained to sleep beside your bed.
If you’re interested in Churro, please text 775-442-3043.
