Chuckie

Meet Chuckie, a handsome young German Shepherd with adorable crooked ears, an unforgettable smile, and a heart that's ready to find his forever family.

Chuckie's story started with a rough beginning. Originally purchased from a puppy mill, he was surrendered to ACCT Philly when his owners struggled to manage a young, energetic shepherd. Like many intelligent working breeds, Chuckie simply needed the structure, exercise, training, and enrichment that every shepherd craves.

Since joining our rescue, Chuckie has made tremendous progress. He has built strong bonds with his volunteers and has become especially social, friendly, and relaxed with the women in his life. Watching his confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding, and his goofy personality shines brighter every day.

Chuckie is a regular participant in training sessions with one of our volunteer trainers. He's working on basic manners, obedience commands, confidence building, enrichment puzzles, and learning how to make good choices. He loves having a job to do and enjoys engaging his sharp shepherd brain.

This young guy was reported to be crate trained, house trained, active, and loves toys. He has done well meeting other dogs and would be happy to meet any potential canine siblings. While he can still be sensitive in new situations, he continues to gain confidence through positive experiences and routine.

Chuckie is looking for a shepherd-savvy home that understands the breed's needs for physical activity, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. In return, you'll get a loyal companion who is eager to learn, deeply devoted to his people, and full of potential.

With his crooked ears, charming smile, and newfound confidence, Chuckie is hoping his perfect family comes along soon.
