Christy McPee (D2005)'s Story
Meet Christie McPee, part of the Fleetwood mutt litter (John McPee, Mick Fetchwood, Lindsey Barkingham, Stevie Licks, and Christie McPee). They were left at a rural VA shelter. Born on December 24, 2025, these Lab/Shepherd mixes currently weigh between 8-12 lbs but will grow into large dogs.

She is being fostered in a home with other dogs and cats, and she regularly plays with children. Here is what his foster has to say about her:

Christie McPee: Christie has a huge fun personality. She's very in tune with her people and does not appear to be afraid of anything. She loves playing with her people as much as she does with her litter mates. She's quite vocal and demanding when she wants attention; but it's displayed in a sweet demeanor.
She seems to be quite smart and should learn quickly. If her litter mates (or humans) don't want to play with her, she has no problem entertaining herself.

As with all puppies, Christie McPee will need time to adjust to a new home and its expectations. Her future families should understand that pet ownership is a lifelong commitment—one that requires daily exercise, continued training, and socialization. Remember: a good puppy is a tired puppy!

If you're interested in adopting Christie McPee, please DO NOT CALL us.
