Christopher:<br/>He's been with us from out Brookfield location, and his story is one we really hope you’ll take a moment to read.<br/>He came to us as an owner surrender when his elderly owner could no longer physically care for him. Christopher was simply too strong, and making that decision was not an easy one , but it was made out of love and concern for his safety.<br/>When Christopher first arrived, he struggled hard with kennel stress. <br/>He wasn’t used to being cooped up, and shelter life was overwhelming for him. <br/>Because of that, he didn’t get a lot of one-on-one time with volunteers at first , not because he wasn’t worthy, but because he was clearly having a difficult time adjusting.<br/>Since moving to our new location, everything has changed.<br/> Christopher is doing better. <br/> He’s interacting well with volunteers. <br/> He’s showing us just how smart and sweet he truly can be . <br/>At this time, we are asking for:<br/>• No children<br/>• He does appear to be dog friendly, and a resident dog meet is required<br/>• A low-traffic, calm home would be best<br/>• Training is strongly recommended — he’s intelligent and eager to learn<br/>• He is very treat-motivated, which makes him a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training<br/>Christopher is the kind of dog who needs a responsible, experienced adopter , someone who understands what it means for a dog to have spent years living the shelter/kennel life. <br/>Being confined for nearly 23 hours a day, with minimal walks and limited socialization, takes a toll. <br/>Dogs like Christopher don’t need perfection — they need patience, structure, and time to decompress.<br/>And most importantly…<br/> He is very sweet<br/> He deserves to be seen<br/> He deserves applications<br/> He deserves a loving family<br/><br/>If you think you could be the right fit for Christopher, please submit an adoption application to: Healthyheartsproject.org/adopt<br/><br/>A team member will be in touch within 24 to 48 hours and schedule a meet and greet. <br/>Let’s give this boy the second chance he so deeply deserves. <br/>Location <br/>909 Martin Luther King Blvd., Warren,OH
