Christie's Story

IN FOSTER: Christie's foster is committed to helping her find a new family! To begin the adoption process, please reach out to the foster directly at: michellecsdhsfostervolunteer@gmail.com. How Christie arrived: Christie was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on December 30, 2025. Why Christie is the one for you:Christie is a gentle, soulful lady who has truly blossomed from a shy wallflower into a devoted companion with a heart of gold. While she initially takes a moment to observe her surroundings, once she knows she is safe, she is an absolute cuddle bug who will happily hop into your lap to solicit all the affection you can give. She is a champion at the art of relaxation, often nudging your hand with a paw or offering sweet kisses to let you know she is enjoying the attention. This clever girl is already potty trained and is comfortable using both the great outdoors and indoor potty pads, making her a very easy housemate. She is a big fan of her me time with a good chew bone or a squeaky toy, and she has been known to do almost anything for a tasty treat. Her strong food motivation is the secret key to her heart and a wonderful way to help her continue building her confidence in new situations. Christie has lived harmoniously with a variety of other dogs and especially enjoys the company of playful friends who match her gentle spirit. Because she can be a bit nervous with fast movements or loud noises, she is looking for a peaceful home that will let her set the pace and flourish in a quiet neighborhood. If you have a soft spot on your sofa and a pocket full of snacks, she is ready to fill your life with quiet, steady friendship and plenty of tail wags. Please bring a leash and collar when adopting.
