Come see us for a day full of wagging tails and adorable pups!<br/><br/>SATURDAY, MARCH 28 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT AT the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!<br/><br/>——————<br/><br/>CHRISSY is a precious little Australian Cattle Dog mix! She came to us as a mama dog with her adorable little babies, who have all been adopted now. Chrissy was a wonderful mom and now she's ready to find a loving family to give her the love and care she deserves. <br/><br/>Chrissy is gentle and quiet. She's very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is good with dogs of all sizes, kids and cats. She is house trained. <br/><br/>Chrissy is 2 years old and she weighs just 35 lbs. <br/><br/>Sadly, Chrissy tested positive for heartworms. But please don’t let this scare you away! We just need to get her into a home during her treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about her heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering her (we’d love to find her a foster home!). Once her treatment plan is completed, Chrissy will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!<br/><br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A DOG<br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
