Chowder's Story

Meet Chowder

This 2.5 yr old little lady is full of love and confidence. Chowder and her sister were abandoned by their family, left behind after an eviction. They came to Suncoast Animal League just in time to give birth to their puppies at our shelter.

Chowder was a shelter favorite because of her sweet nature and good leash manners and continues to win over everyone she meets with her joyful “awoos” and wiggle butt. Seriously. She LOVES meeting people and adores children.
She would prefer to be the only dog in her home and no kitties.

She is completely potty trained, crate trained, and has good manners, but may need a little time to learn the rules in her new home (e.g., she should be crated while you are gone).

She has learned how to sit and take treats in a very short time and is working on recall and “car” with her foster parents (stepping out of the road on walks when a car goes by). Chowder loves to “sun dog” and will bask outside for hours if you let her. However, she can also be inquisitive and adventurous, so will do best with a tall (6’) privacy fence.

Chowder loves to cuddle with her foster parents. She is a great dog who deserves a home with lots of love and attention.

Would you like to meet this pretty girl? Please email adoptions@suncoastanimalleague.org
