Chowder's Story

Our sweet boy Chowder has been waiting 4 months to find his forever home. His siblings have all been adopted and we're not sure why he's still with us. He's the perfect little guy. He loves dogs and cats and is pretty shy with children. We keep telling him, his family is out there, and we're hoping his happy spirit will find its way into his forever home.

Chowder is a sweet, curious 6 month old puppy (neutered and fully vaccinated) who's ready to become your best friend. He was found in Alabama alongside his 2 brothers when their mother escaped her pen and was shot and killed. His estimated adult weight is between 30-50lbs. His friendly nature makes him the perfect companion for any adventure -he does really well on the leash. He's cuddly and goofy, always ready for a playful game or a cuddle session. When he’s outside, he loves to run around and play tug of war with his foster dog siblings and when he’s inside , he loves a good nap. As for feline friends , he isn’t too interested in them and would rather leave them alone to play with the foster dog siblings. Despite his energetic personality, Chowder can also be a bit shy with newer people, but that's just part of his charm. He's also laid back and smart, making him a quick learner and easy to train. He is excelling in crate-training and has mastered house-training. Chowder's blend of playful energy and mellow calmness make him the perfect balance for any household.

If you live in DC/MD/NoVa and would like to add him as your new best friend, please fill out an application at www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet to begin the process.

**If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet to complete our non-binding adoption application.**
