Chorizo's Story

Chorizo is a calm, quiet sweetheart who has excellent house manners. We think she is about 5 years old. She free-roams during the day, sleeps loose at night, and rides great in the car. She gets along wonderfully with other animals and is overall an easy, peaceful presence in the home.

Though very shy, Chorizo absolutely loves to be near her person. She’ll follow you everywhere like a little shadow, even if she’s still building up the confidence to always accept petting. She prefers to eat alone but otherwise does well with other pets and continues to improve as she gains confidence.

Chorizo is incredibly cuddly once she’s settled — she rarely makes a peep and loves curling up for long naps. Her foster notes that sometimes she just needs a gentle nudge to join you on the bed, but once she’s there, she’s all tail wags, snuggles, and will sleep happily at your side all night.

Because she’s such a quiet, low-energy girl, Chorizo would thrive in a calm home, ideally with someone who is home often and enjoys having a constant companion. She doesn’t need much activity — just a soft place to nap and someone patient who will let her warm up at her own pace.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/how-to-adopt
