Our staff favorite, Chopper, is a husky mix who has been on the hunt for his forever family for over a year now. Chopper is a friendly fella who absolutely loves his zoomies and his fun-time tornados! He is full of energy and yearns for a partner who will go on long adventures with him. Chopper has been enjoying his time in and out of foster where he is been guided through his anxieties and learning how to be the greatest boy for his future home! Chopper has a touch of separation anxiety, which he has been getting better during his time with his foster. The most important thing for Chopper is that he needs a human who can shower him with time and attention. Chopper absolutely LOVES affection and is one of the most loyal dogs we and his foster have met. This handsome guy can be a bit possessive at times and definitely needs a meet and greet with any resident dogs! We have noticed he really does not love to share his toys or food. He absolutely loves his squeaky toys, but he does not like having anybody touch them when he's playing with them. Sharing is not his forte! Chopper has been thriving in his foster where toys are a no-go and physical play time is a yes-please with the resident dog! We believe a home with no cats would best suit this handsome boy. We also recommend a child-free home for Chopper. Due to his possessive personality, Chopper needs an owner that knows how to read his boundaries and can continue to work with him on his reactive tendencies and exposures. <br/><br/>If Chopper sounds like your new best friend, fill out an application so we can set up a meet and greet!<br/><br/>** Chopper does have an issue with resource guarding, so his next home will need to continue to work with him on this.
