Chocolate's Story

Chocolate was surrendered by his family after 10 years with them. He was living in very poor conditions and they were caring for him and keeping him safe. Choco came in very dehydrated and overall bad shape. He has some arthritis in his wrist and several large wounds. He spent about a week in intensive care but he pulled through. Choco is getting around better with help from medication and his wounds are healing slowly. This poor guy seems a bit depressed at the rescue. Once we get him out for his walk his tail begins to wag and he's so happy to be with someone. Walks are gentle and slow. He much prefers loves and pets and to just hang out. He would do best in a quiet home where he can just chill and be loved. Please visit our website www.cortezrescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
