Meet Chocolate! <br/>Chocolate is an estimated 9-month-old Chihuahua weighing about 12 pounds, and this sweet little guy is looking for a very special forever home where he can learn that people can be trusted and that he is safe and loved. <br/>Chocolate came into rescue with his brother, Rocky, after not having much socialization in his previous home. Because of this, he is understandably shy and takes some time to warm up and build trust. Because Chocolate is still learning how to trust, his forever family will need to be patient, understanding, and willing to give him the time and space he needs. A securely fenced yard is required for Chocolate. His family will need to understand that building his confidence will take time and that he should never be chased, cornered, or forced into interaction. Letting him come to you when he is ready will help him feel safe and continue building trust.<br/>When Chocolate trusts you, he loves cuddling beside you on the couch, getting pets, and giving kisses. He also enjoys being outside, running around and lounging in the sunshine. <br/>Chocolate is crate trained and house trained, and he has received all of his vaccines. He is scheduled to be neutered and microchipped.<br/>Chocolate deserves a family who will look beyond his fears and see the sweet, loving little boy he is becoming.
