Chloe's Story

Meet pretty girl Chloe!
This gorgeous little lady is a one and a half year old Blue Heeler mix. She is not yet spayed, but her appointment is set for next Tuesday. Chloe is gentle and shy, and needs the right person to help her open up!
Chloe has had quite the sad time lately. She and her siblings were dumped as puppies, and adopted out through a vet clinic. Sadly, Chloe's adopter ended up passing away, and the person that took her in was not allowed to have pets on their property. While her last homes have not worked out for her, we know that her forever family is right around the corner!
Anyone with Heeler experience knows that they can be anxiety-prone. Chloe struggles with this, and will need a patient family willing to give her time to open up. Upon entering the shelter she was pretty scared, and didn't want to be handled much. Even after a couple of hours, though, she was already doing so much better. She still isn't fully comfortable, but it is obvious that she wants attention - she just needs to feel safe enough to receive it!
Chloe is a very smart girl, which is also typical for the breed. She knows some basic commands, and has been listening well at the shelter. Her owner said she was housebroken, but she has been having a few accidents due to her stress here. It is likely that in her new home she will continue to have accidents until she can settle in. We ask that you don't get mad at her, though, and help her to get used to you! Since Chloe is a young dog, and an active breed, she is going to need an active owner. She will not make a good apartment dog, and would really benefit from a family with the free time to exercise her. She will also need a secure yard, as when she gets nervous she is a flight risk.
Chloe has been around other dogs, cats, and kids before in her previous home and did well with all of them. It will be important to supervise her around any new siblings until she fully settles in, though, to make sure that they aren't overwhelming her. Once she trusts you, Chloe is actually a very sweet and snuggly girl, and will crawl up in your lap for love!
Chloe is up to date on her vaccinations and ready to meet her forever family! If you think you could help Chloe finally find her perfect match, stop by and meet her today!
