This handsome young Shepherd/Hound mix is still learning the finer points of life. He can be little jumpy when he gets excited, but that's simply because he's overflowing with happiness and hasn't quite figured out that not everyone appreciates his enthusiastic greetings! The good news? He's smart, eager, and at the perfect age to continue learning with a family willing to invest a little time and training.
Chip is already housebroken, giving him a great head start on being an excellent housemate. He also does very well with older children who can appreciate his playful, energetic nature. Chip would thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the attention and build a strong bond with his people. He's looking for a family that will embrace his zest for life, provide him with plenty of exercise and enrichment, and help him grow into the amazing adult dog he's destined to become.
Apply today and give Chip a chance to have the forever home he's been waiting for!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org

SPONSOR ME!
