Meet Chip

Meet Chip!
This handsome guy may start off a bit shy, but with a proper introduction and a slow approach, he quickly warms up to friendly strangers and loveeeessss being petted.

In his foster home, Chip gets along well with multiple other dogs and has even been around older children. He's a good companion on a leash and loves walks. He finds comfort in his kennel for security when needed. During the day when you're away, it's essential to crate him as it helps ease his anxiety.

This dude is a bundle of energy, always on the go, and is learning to play with toys. He particularly enjoys a game of chase in the yard, although his neurological damage can make him a bit uncoordinated at times. Therefore, it's advisable to have older children and non-reactive dogs in the household, as he might accidentally bump into them.

Chip's personality shines through as sweet, energetic, vocal, and incredibly loyal. He's known to make his foster mom laugh, especially when his legs take on a comical "lobster legs" appearance during playtime.

Chip is highly intelligent and is still learning about love and trust. He thrives in an environment that allows him to be his quirky self and understands that there are certain things he'll never grow out of. At the same time, he benefits from gentle guidance when needed.

He'd be best suited for a home with a big yard, dedicated people who have time to spend with him, and perhaps a dog or two willing to engage in a game of chase. Patience and encouragement are essential to help him explore the world and realize it's not a scary place.

One of Chip's standout qualities is his unwavering loyalty. He quickly forms strong bonds and has shown this with his foster mom. He's a bit fearful of fireworks and thunderstorms and should be kept indoors during such times. He's also working on overcoming his fear of the vacuum. But fear not.. the lawn mower is far from scary he loves being outside so much that it does not bother him one bit.

Chip's future family should be patient and understanding, recognizing that his condition is a permanent aspect of his personality. Importantly, it doesn't hinder him in any way, and he experiences no pain.

Chip is a truly special boy with a unique gait that only adds to his charm. His happy-go-lucky attitude and sweet spirit make him an exceptional companion.
