Chip's Story

Amazing Sweet & Handsome deaf pup searching for a home!

Chip is a good-natured and eager to please deaf two year old pit mix who arrived from Louisiana when Pathway partnered with the Good Flights program ~ a division of Greater Good Charities.

Chip was rescued as a pup - covered in mange, his skin raw and painful. This sweet boy ended up on someones doorstep unmoving and in desperate need of help. Just a puppy, Chip was suffering from demodex (not contagious) mange. It was discovered that Chip is deaf also. Chip is now a loving member of Hope's Home, but we do hope for him to find his forever family soon.

Due to Chip's rough start, he enjoys meeting new people, but it does take him some time to fully trust due to his deafness. He loves to go on pack walks with volunteers and has his special friends that he enjoys cuddling with. He also sleeps well despite any noise around him! Once he fully trusts someone, he becomes a total lovebug. He would ideally be best suited for a calmer home with adults only or a home with older children.
His only problem is that he can't decide if his ears should be up or down ! What do you think?
