Chip's Story

Meet Chip, a 4-year-old chocolate Labrador with a heart full of love and a dash of mischief! This sweet boy is incredibly smart and eager to please —he’s happiest when snuggled up with his people or following you around the house with those big, soulful eyes.

Chip is your classic Lab: chill and snoozy most of the day, but when he’s ready to play, he lights up with energy! He’s been working hard over the last couple of years on obedience, leash manners, place work, and strategies to manage his excitement and anxiety. He’s very responsive to commands and truly thrives when given clear structure and calm guidance.

Chip can be anxious and although has done well with some dogs friends and even lives with his chocolate lab sister, he can sometimes be reactive to other dogs. We are looking for experienced dog owners who understand his needs. A quiet, consistent environment will help him shine. He'd do best in a home with older children who understand dog boundaries.

True to his Lab nature, he’s been known to help himself to a sandwich or sneak off with a shoe when no one’s looking—but that’s part of his lovable charm!

His current family made the incredibly difficult decision to re-home him after finding that the chaos of life with young kids was just too stressful for Chip. He is deeply loved and we're committed to finding him the perfect new home where he can continue to grow and be happy.

Chip is a special boy who will reward your patience and love with endless loyalty, kisses, and companionship.

If you think you could be the right fit for Chip, please fill out our adoption application to set up a meet and greet:
https://form.jotform.com/223224052492044

Located in Tacoma, wa
