While driving home, one of our dedicated volunteers stumbled upon a dog stranded in a desolate area near the I5 highway. The dog, later named Chimay, clearly bore the marks of abandonment, and given the remote location, it was evident that she would struggle to survive without help. Despite the harsh treatment she had received from humans, Chimay remained remarkably friendly and was eager to connect with anyone who showed her kindness. Our volunteer quickly recognized her plight and was able to gently secure her, ensuring that Chimay would no longer face the dangers of life as a stray.
