Chilindrina's Story

One quiet evening, one of our founders returned home from work to find a surprise tied to the front gate: a sweet, wide-eyed dog with a hopeful heart and no one to call her own. That was the day Chilindrina’s rescue story began. Born around June 2021, Chilindrina is now a few years older and still waiting patiently at our outdoor shelter. She’s grown into a beautiful, affectionate girl with a playful streak and a soft spot for attention. She walks nicely on leash, enjoys her daily outings, and lives peacefully with other dogs—though she’s not above sneakily helping herself to their food when no one’s looking (we call it “selective sharing”). Chilindrina isn’t the most social butterfly, but she’s kind and gentle, and once she trusts you, she blossoms into a loving companion. She’s the type of dog who will quietly lean into your side, soaking up affection like sunshine. She’s never known the comforts of a real home, but we believe she’s more than ready to learn what love, routine, and belonging feel like. She’s a good dog. A little selfish with cuddles, a little silly with her food, and a lot deserving of a second chance. Chilindrina is waiting. Could you be the one she’s been waiting for?
She is in Nayarit, Mexico and is ready to be adopted locally or fly to her forever home!
www.saltydogrescuebrigade.org
