Please read complete bio...and if you are interested in CHILI and have the qualifications we are looking for in his new home, send an email directly to and explain your family situation and why you are a good fit for CHILI. Information needed in the email would be your name, address, phone number, and vet reference proving your past vet history with your current or past pets.

CHILI is one of 18 dogs that were confiscated by the cruelty investigator from a horrendous hoarding situation.
This rescue accepted 9 of the dogs...either because they were so nervous and would not do well in a shelter situation...or needed extensive vet care. They are all very comfortable around the other dogs that were surrendered together. Having had all the necessary vet care completed, CHILI is now ready for his new life.

CHILI is a 2 year old Yorkie/Chihuahua(?) mix who weighs about 13 pounds. CHILI has a crippling condition...we don't know if it is congenital or trauma related...but he is NOT paralyzed and is NOT incontinent...he DOES have bladder and bowel control. His back legs are deformed but he does have movement in both legs. He does not drag his back end...but rather uses the back legs to balance when he is urinating or defecating. When he doesn't feel like using his back legs...he picks them up and walks on his front legs or bounces along with his back legs.

A wonderful rescue friend donated a wheelchair for CHILI. He will need practice to get used to it. It would be be able to take CHILI for a walk...something other dogs are able to do and CHILI has never been able to experience.

CHILI is doing well with his housetraining with his foster mom home with him during the day and taking him outside to potty. He will need a patient, understanding new owner who will be willing to work with him continuing his housetraining. CHILI will also use a potty pad in his foster home.

We are REQUIRING a securely fenced yard for his safety...not using a tie out or an invisible fence...but a physical fence such as chain link fencing or privacy fencing.

CHILI...along with the others from that situation...are true "rescue" every sense of the word. To be able to take them from that horrible situation...and give them a loving so very rewarding. These dogs know that they were rescued...and are so very grateful. Could yours be the home that CHILI so desperately deserves?

His adoption fee of $300 will help cover all the necessary vet care needed to get him to be the healthy dog he is today...and also includes his food, and a collar, leash, and harness.

Thank you for wanting to rescue!
