Chili's Story

Say hello to Chili!

Chili is a sweet, super smart and friendly 1 year old, 32lbs female Red heeler. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccines and medical records. Chili is house trained and is learning tricks and buzz words very quickly! She is very playful and is good with other dogs of all sizes but would do best with another dog that can match her playful energy and her size or larger. She enjoys as many toys and you can give her, but loves her tennis balls and trying to round-up multiple ones at a time.

Chili loves all humans and wants to meet everyone she sees to give them a big kiss! She is a cuddle monster on the couch and wants to be right by you at all times. She does very well on walks and very rarely pulls (she may occasionally want to go after a bird or squirrel, but hey, shes a cattle dog!) and just wants to stop and smell everything! She is non-reactive to people and other dogs but sometimes will just stop and stare at them but knows the word "lets go" so a little tug and she's right back to walking right next you.

Currently Chili lives in a house with a fenced in back yard and also doggy door access to outside, so her adopter would ideally have a similiar set-up but more importanly a fenced in yard because she loves running around and rubbing in the grass. She also loves the sprinkler and chasing the water out of the garden hose. She is not kept in a crate overnight or when no one is home and does very well. She will sleep in with you and not get up until you do when she's ready to be let out to potty. We have not had any issues with her chewing anything aside from her toys and bones (she will go find one she's hidden and chew it then re-hide it).

Chili is treat motivated, but does not beg for "people food" and is very well mannered while you're having dinner or grabbing a snack. Chili is an absolute sweetheart and would do well with any family that is willing to give her the attention, exercise, and mental stimulation that she needs!
Chili is currently being foster near Florence, KY.
