Chihuahua - Rocco

Welcome Rocco to the LWDR pack! He is a 6 year old Chihuahua (mix?). He was a bit standoffish the first couple days in his foster home but once he felt safe he became a total love bug. He's a very smart little guy who loves being with his person. He's doing well with the other dogs in his foster home, great on potty training & is just a happy little dog. Rocco enjoys napping on the couch, running in the back yard & TREATS! He sleeps quietly in a crate at night, walks on a leash & is starting to play with toys.<br/><br/>Rocco is accustomed to being with other dogs but might be ok without one in his new home if he gets ample attention. He would love a fenced yard or someone who is committed to several daily walks. He seems to be apprehensive of men so he will need a woman in his new home to make him feel secure. <br/><br/>2/23/26 update - We have spent time working to understand Rocco's apprehension with men. I believe my initial statement above was incorrect. Upon meeting anyone Rocco just needs a little time and space to feel safe with you. Then he does great! He's definately worth the effort & would love a chance to show you what a wonderful companion he is. <br/><br/>He weighs 11# and his adoption fee is $350.
