Chief's Story

Meet Chief

Age: 2 years
Location: Sapulpa
Neutered?: Yes!

Chief is the sweetest thing in the world!! He absolutely adores people and loves every bit of attention he can get.

He's been wonderful around bigger kids, handling LOTS of pets like a champ, and even showed off his patience as a true hero at the Veteran's Day parade.

When Chief first came to us, he was just skin and bones. Since then, he's been working hard on gaining weight and is steadily getting healthier and stronger every day.

Chief enjoys walks, lounging on the couch, and soaking up time with his people. He is still learning about car rides-loading into a vehicle can be scary for him-but with patience and reassurance, he is already showing improvement.

We unfortunately do not know too much about Chief in a home setting yet since he has been in boarding. He has not been tested with cats, but he has been around other dogs at our adoption events and appears completely neutral with them.

Chief is highly food and treat motivated, which makes him a very trainable boy. He is eager to learn, loves working with his people, engages well with his handler, and does a great job working through stress.

Chief is eligible for the Battle Buddies program!

Veterans apply here: oklahomagsr.org/battle-buddies
Civilians apply here: oklahomagsr.org
