Chief Beagle West Decatur, PA

UPDATED 4/20/23 Hi! I'm Chief! I'm a lemon & white male beagle, about 10 years old - although I act much younger! I'm super sweet! I'm also a very timid dog. I'm frightened of people who are tall (I bark at them). Even if they make up to me, I forget that I know them a little bit later & start barking at them again. So I need a home where no one is tall or on the large size. I can climb a chain link fence, & so I'll need to be on-leash when outside, or the fencing needs to be the type you can't climb. But I'm really energetic, so I need lots of walks if I don't have a securely fenced-in yard. I need a new home because my owner got sick & was no longer able to keep me. I lived outside in a pen with other dogs. I'm in a foster home now. I'm doing really well with housetraining. They have a fenced in yard with a doggie door, & so I go outside when I need to. However, if I was in a home without a doggie door, then my people would need to learn my signs for when I need to go outside. I love jumping up on things - I can really jump quite well. I love to chew on squeaky toys. Also, I like to sleep in bed with my foster mom - I like to cuddle next to her head. I'm very good with the other dogs in my foster home. I can be crated for 4 or 5 hours, but will pee in the crate if I'm in the crate longer than that. I am already neutered & up-to-date on vaccines!
