Chief's Story
AGE: 9 weeks (as of 2/13/26)
WEIGHT: 10 lbs

Meet Chief!

Chief is an 8-week-old Pittie mix with a confident and independent streak. He’s perfectly happy entertaining himself while you’re busy—but don’t let that fool you, cuddles are still very important to him.

Chief loves a good game of tug-of-war and takes his role very seriously… at least until he wears himself out. After playtime, he’s happiest curling up for a cozy nap, preferably in front of a warm space heater. He has a great balance of playful energy and laid-back charm.

He is used to wearing a collar and harness. Leashes are still confusing (snow wins every time), and he’s about 75% piddle-pad trained. He is doing great with kids, dogs, and cats! Chief enjoys all kinds of toys, especially tug toys, stuffies, and anything he can proudly carry around. With a little guidance and lots of love, Chief will grow into a loyal and easygoing family dog.

The C litter of 11 puppies plus their mom, Coco, came to us from our rescue partner in Dallas, Texas.

HOW TO ADOPT:

THIS dog is NOT in the shelter. For puppies in foster care, you MUST submit an application via EMAIL to smpetfinder@gmail.com. Please note in the email subject which puppy you are interested in.

Go to: http://www.smallmiraclesrescue.org
and click "How to Adopt". There you will find the dog application available for download.

The more information you provide, the faster the process is for all of us. Once you are approved to adopt, we will schedule an appointment to see the puppy in person and you will adopt and take it home that day.

Due to the (usual) speed and ease of our adoption process, PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE READY TO ADOPT RIGHT NOW. If you are not ready to adopt within the next couple of days, we totally understand - just wait to apply until you are ready.

Adoption Fees:

Before our dogs are available for adoption, they will always be spayed/neutered, vaccinated (Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella, Rabies as much as age-appropriate), stool sample checked for parasites, and dewormed.

Adoption fee for our dogs is $375, $40 for a microchip and registration and $25 for a 3 month supply of heartworm preventative, for a TOTAL of $440.
