Meet Chico, a 3-year-old, 43lb sweetheart who's equal parts playful and cuddly Chico does best with love, patience, and a predictable routine. Once he understands your schedule and feels secure, he truly shines and becomes a gold-star companion He loves chewing on bones and stuffed animals, chasing balls and squeaky toys, soaking up belly rubs and ear scratches, and cuddling up right next to you for the best naps. Sunbathing and running after toys are some of his favorite pastimes. Chico is great with other dogs, wonderful with kids, potty trained, knows basic commands, walks well on leash, and rides nicely in the car. He has a nice medium energy level that balances playtime with plenty of downtime and snuggles. Chico will need a cat-free home. We utilize a foster to adopt process, whereby dogs are placed with a prospective family following the acceptance of their application including a vet reference check and a home check. Following foster placement the rescue follows up with the family to ensure it is a good fit for the dog and family's respective wants and needs. If the foster period is successful, the adoption can be formalized with an adoption contract.
